Gebhart, resident of Phillips County the past 43 years, were conducted Monday afternoon in Holyoke. Mr. Gebhart died at 7 o'clock Friday morning at his farm home northeast of Holyoke following an illness of two years duration. Death was attributed to a heart ailment and complications. At the time of his death, Mr. Gebhart was 63 years, six months and 21 days old. The final rites were read at the Presbyterian church with the pastor, Rev. D. Pryde Gillis, officiating. A male quartet composed of Rev. Clare J. Hayes, G.L. Bereman, Dr. P.S. Struble and W.H. Rouze sang with Dorothy Morgan playing the accompaniments. Burial was made in the Holyoke cemetery. Serving as the pallbearers were Elmer Hansen, D.F. Sagehorn, Emil Heermann, Perl Balderson, Carl Meusborn and Ival Rowan. Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. F.E. Decker and son, Teddy, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Mauser and children of Big Springs, Nebraska. William Dietrich Gebhart, the son of Ambrose and Maggie Kohrell Gebhart, was born July 25, 1877 at Lincoln, Nebraska. With his parents he resided at Lincoln until 1895, when they moved to a farm near Germantown, Nebraska. In the spring of 1898 Mr. Gebhart and his parents moved to Phillips County and located on a farm north of Holyoke. The deceased had since made his home on farms in the Holyoke community. The marriage of William Gebhart to Miss Nanna R. Mauser was solemnized September 2, 1902 in Phillips County. The deceased was baptized in infancy, and he united with the Presbyterian church October 6, 1901. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Nanna R. Gebhart; three sons, Ronald, Harold and Roy, of near Holyoke; one daughter, Mrs. F.E. Decker of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Ervin Pollock of Gering, Nebraska and Mrs. H.J. Brown of Johnstown, Colorado; one brother, M.F. G. Gebhart, 88, former Holyoke resident, and father of W.D. Gebhart of Holyoke, died Saturday evening at Gering, Nebraska. A hemorrhage of the stomach brought on his final illness, which lasted ten days. Funeral services were held Tuesday. The Gebharts had lived at Holyoke two different periods, leaving the last time about five years ago. Mrs. Gebhart, the local man, another son and two daughters survive. W.D. Gebhart and son, Roy, went to Gering last Thursday because of the illness of the aged man.
