Marcotte, a retired farmer of the Concordia area, died Thursday, Jan. 2 at St. Joseph Hospital after an extended illness. He was born July 22, 1886 at Aurora, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Marcotte. He was 58. Mr. Marcotte was a member of the Catholic Church. He was married to Mary Lambert on Jan. 26, 1912 at Aurora. She died April 18, 1974. He was born July 22, 1886 at Aurora, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Marcotte. He was 58. Mr. Marcotte was a member of the Catholic Church. He was married to Mary Lambert on Jan. 26, 1912 at Aurora. She died April 18, 1974. They farmed southwest of Concordia until 1951 when they retired and moved to Concordia. He has been a resident of St. Ann’s Home since October 1972. Mr. Marcotte is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alma Bombardier and Mrs. Laura DeRoche, both of Concordia, and nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, one sister and three brothers. Funeral services were Monday morning, Jan. 6, 1975 at the Concordia Catholic Church with the Rev. Loren Werth officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Chaput Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
