The deceased was born at Newton, Livingston county, Illinois, December 6, 1850. He was married to Clara Wetherell at Odell, Ill., December 20, 1871. Mr. and Mrs. Houchin removed to Nebraska in 1882 and this has been their home since then. Read More	HOUCHIN -- At his home in Geneva, Neb., at 10:30 a. m. Sunday, July 31, 1910, William E. Houchin, aged 54 years, 7months and 25 days. The deceased was born at Newton, Livingston county, Illinois, December 6, 1850. He was married to Clara Wetherell at Odell, Ill., December 20, 1871. Mr. and Mrs. Houchin removed to Nebraska in 1882 and this has been their home since then. Mr. Houchin is survived by his wife and five sons, all of the sons being married: Ethelbelt, Delenzo and Solsbury of this county, Archibald of Keystone, Neb. and Wilber of Franklin, Neb. All of the sons were present at the funeral. About a year and a half ago Mr. Houchin suffered a stroke of paralysis and has been in feeble health since then. The farming operations he had been conducting were turned over to his son Ethelbert and for some time Mr and Mrs. Houchin have resided in Geneva. Mr. Houchin was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Solsbury Houchin both of whom have died recently at advanced ages. The funeral took place from the Methodist Episcopal church in Geneva at 10 a. m. Tuesday and was conducted by Rev. J. W. Embree. The funeral arrangements were in charge of the Masonic order. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal August 5th, 1910 page 6.
