Ed was born on June 6,1921, in Belmar, Nebraska, the first of seven children born to William T. and Roxie (Cranmore) Leeper. He served in the US Army during WWll. While stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington he met and married Sarah Elvira Weaver. To this union four children were born, William E., George E., Catherine E., and Joseph F. Sarah passed away in 1957. Ed married Faith Lorene Glassey in 1964. After Lorene passed away Ed married Dorothy (Delatour) Cranmore on January 12, 1969 in Lewellen. Ed was a long time member of the Buffalo Bill Studebaker Club of North Platte and a member of the Western Wheel Studebaker Club in Scottsbluff at the time of his death. He would have loved nothing better than to have attended all of the chapter meetings but his health would not permit this. He thoroughly enjoyed country and Christian music. In his spare time, he picked out old melodies like "The Great Speckled Bird" on his guitar. He was an active member of the Ash Hollow Senior Center. He was well known as a fine mechanic and freely gave mechanical advice. Another pastime that brought Ed great pleasure was tinkering on old cars. Ed was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Oshkosh for several years. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Dorothy Leeper, children, Bill Leeper and wife Deb of Colorado, George Leeper and wife Martha of Nebraska, and Cathy Peterson and husband Dick of Texas, and stepchildren Allen Cranmore and wife Melanie, Lairie Coleman and husband Cliff, Donna Sanford and husband Harold, Sue Kamler and husband Dick all of Nebraska, Tom Glassey and wife Marsha of Idaho, Karen Atkinson of California, and Bob Dhabolt of Colorado, three sisters and one brother Rosie Cooper of Oshkosh, Gloria Craig of Idaho, Willadean Morgan of Washington, and Bud Leeper of Scottsbluff, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two wives; one son; one stepson; two brothers; and his parents. My tribute to my darling husband: I wanted to let the world know what a loving husband you were and what a wonderful stepfather you were to my children. You were always so forgiving and compassionate. I learned many lessons from you. You will always be loved and never forgotten. Your loving wife, Dorothy.
