Description	:	WM. F. STERLING BURIED TUESDAY Funeral services were held at 2:30 pan. Tuesday for Mr. William Fletcher Sterling, who died at his home on Chesapeake Avenue extended on Sunday, at the age of 81 years. The service's were held in the Bradshaw–Covington Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank A. Baker, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by Dr. Alton W. Greenlaw, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment was in Mariner's Cemetery. Mr. Sterling was born in Crisfield, the son of the late Mahlon and Esther Sterling. Greenlaw, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment was in Mariner's Cemetery. Mr. Sterling was born in Crisfield, the son of the late Mahlon and Esther Sterling. He was the husband of Mrs. Cornelia Betts Sterling. For most of his life Mr. Sterling was engaged in the seafood business, actively until he retired several years ago. He was affiliated with Asbury Methodist Church. A man of quiet demeanor, he had been an energetic, steady worker, a good business man, and took great pride in his home and family. He had been a helpful man, a citizen interested in civic affairs that meant the betterment of the community, and was helpful in times of stress and adversity. He had a large circle of friends and acquaintances in the community who held him in high esteem and regard. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Cornelia Betts Sterling, two daughters, Mrs. Charles Northam of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Florence Turner of Baltimore, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
