Description	:	William Frederic Howes, a 67 years resident of Yonkers, died January 11, 2007 after a wondrous life. He was 97 years old. Mr. Howes was born December 15, 1909 in Boston, MA to William Frederic and Margaret Edna (Gregor) Howes. He was predeceased by his wife, Clara Blanchard Howes, in 2004, to whom he was married on June 26, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by his sons: William, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Banning of Brewster, NY, his wife Lynn; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was 97 years old. Mr. Howes was born December 15, 1909 in Boston, MA to William Frederic and Margaret Edna (Gregor) Howes. He was predeceased by his wife, Clara Blanchard Howes, in 2004, to whom he was married on June 26, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by his sons: William, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Banning of Brewster, NY, his wife Lynn; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Mr. Howes attended Tabor Academy in Marion, MA, where he developed his love of sailing, Amherst College, and the New York School of Art. He worked as a commercial Artist for a number of New York City advertising agencies, most extensively BBD&O. He was an active member of the Bryn Mawr Park Presbyterian Church of over 50 years. He enjoyed 'trailering' to Cape Cod, being a Brooklyn Dodger then Mets fan, and following the lives of his family. A Funeral Service will be held at the FLYNN FUNERAL HOME, 1652 Central Park Ave., Yonkers, at 2 pm, on Saturday. Interment will be at the Gordon Cemetery in Searsport, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bryn Mawr Park Presbyterian Church, 20 Buckingham Rd., Yonkers, NY 10701. FLYNN MEMORIAL HOME 325 South Broadway Yonkers, NY 10705.
