Description	:	He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alban and grew to manhood in the town of his birth. On April 28, 1870 he was united in the holy bonds of wedlock to Mary Amanda Marvel and throughout the years they lived a a wonderfully happy life, a long span of nearly 59 years. With his bride of two years he migrated to Kansas in 1872, settling in Pottawattomie county, remaining until 1880 residing in a number of places until within the past two years he has made his home with his daughter Mrs. H.B. Hall, in Newton, at whose home he bade farewell to his loved ones and took his departure for the other world. He was a painter by trade, but he did not confine himself to painting material things, he painted life itself to make it more beautiful. He painted it in his daughters and son as he set before them the example of clean living. He was a worthy example in home life living and loving through nearly sixty years with his helpmate. "Good Man", his companions, fellow workmen and acquaintances say of him so he painted the best for them and in them. His painting will live on and ever be a memorial to him. The funeral services were held at the home of the daughter, Mrs. H.B. Hall at 423 west Third on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 22, conducted by the Rev. Harold E. Dickins, pastor of the Christian church. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery.
