Description	:	William Frederick Gorrell, 84, of Loudonville died Monday morning, May 25, 2009, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, following an extended illness. Bill was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Loudonville, the son of Homer and Margaret (Sprang) Gorrell. He lived all his life in Loudonville. He was a 1942 graduate of Loudonville High School. He was the safety director of Mansfield Plumbing Products with 32 years of service, retiring in 1987. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a motor machinist mate first class. Read More	William Frederick Gorrell, 84, of Loudonville died Monday morning, May 25, 2009, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, following an extended illness. Bill was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Loudonville, the son of Homer and Margaret (Sprang) Gorrell. He lived all his life in Loudonville. He was a 1942 graduate of Loudonville High School. He was the safety director of Mansfield Plumbing Products with 32 years of service, retiring in 1987. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a motor machinist mate first class. Bill was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, serving on the church council and singing in the Sanctus Choir for almost 50 years. He was a member and past president of Loudonville Lions Club and a Melvin Jones Fellow. He received the Lion of the Year award for 1996-97 and the Cub of the Year award for 1987-88. He also was a member of American Legion Post 257 and Toastmasters Club. Bill served on Loudonville Village Tree Commission for eight years. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Givens) Gorrell, whom he married June 25, 1954; his son and daughter-in-law, William G. and Annette Gorrell of Loudonville; his two grandchildren, Sean Gorrell and Gina Gorrell, both of Loudonville; and three brothers, Donald Gorrell of Houston, John Gorrell of Mansfield and James Gorrell of Wooster.
