Mr. Robinson, who had been in failing health for over a year, died of cancer Aug. 2 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. M. Farnes, in Buffalo, Wyo. Rev. J. D. Lindley officiated at the services. Mr. Robinson, who had been in failing health for over a year, died of cancer Aug. 2 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. M. Farnes, in Buffalo, Wyo. Rev. J. D. Lindley officiated at the services. Music was by Mrs. Sid Huyser and Mrs. Gordon Huyser who sang "Going Down the Valley" and "We'll Understand It Better," accompanied at the organ by, Mrs. Jim Scholten. Pallbearers were E. A. Bieber, C. E. Smart, C. V. Mosier, Mike Breck and Robert Cunningham, and Fred Swift of Reed Point. Burial was in Mountain View. Mr. Robinson was born Oct. 21, 1881, at Plainfield, Ia., a son of Phillip and Diantha Robinson. He was married Nov. 5, 1902, to Effie Westervelt, and to them were born three daughters and one son. One daughter Lorrene died at the age of one. Survivors are the two daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Bessie) McLane of Billings and Mrs. J. M. (Doris) Farnes, and the son, Burton Robinson of Big Timber; also three brothers and a sister in Iowa, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson and Mr. ad Mrs. Lewis Westervel came from Iowa to Ryegate in 1913, where they worked for a year. In the fall of the following year, the Robinsons homesteaded 16 miles north of Reed Point where they resided until 1933 when they moved to lower Sweet Grass and later to a Boulder river ranch. Retiring in 1947, the Robinsons moved to Big Timber residing just across the EUB church. when the bell was installed in the church Mr. Robinson was sexton and rang the bell for Sunday school and church for several years. He and Mrs. Robinson were charter members of the church which was organized north of Reed Point. After moving to Big Timber they became members of the local EUB church. Mrs. Robinson died in September 1950. After he sold his house here several years ago Mr. Robinson made his home with his son and daughters. Contributor: Julia Kinsey (48922386)
