Read More	Published in the Red Deer Advocate Mr. William Gilchrist "Bill" Morgan, beloved husband of Mary, of Lethbridge, formerly of Red Deer, passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at the age of 79 years, following a long battle with chronic lung disease. Bill was born on May 7, 1921 in Scotland and came to Canada as a young boy. During WW2 he proudly served his country. On May 26, 1948, Bill was united in marriage to the former Mary Hawkins. Bill's plumbing career lasted thirty-eight years, starting with Davis and Castello Plumbing, then Crest Plumbing, and in 1964 continued with the Alberta Government, retiring in 1985. Bill always enjoyed entertaining and he and Mary spent many happy years square dancing and calling square dances in the area. As well as his loving wife Mary, Bill is survived by his devoted daughter, Pat of Lethbridge; his caring granddaughter, Sandra Still of Lethbridge; and his loving great granddaughter, Samantha; sister, Jessie Whittemore of Red Deer; brother, John Morgan of Red Deer; sisters-in-law, Mildred Morgan and Freddie Morgan, both of Red Deer; numerous nieces and nephews, many extended family members and dear friends. Bill was predeceased by his mother, Helen; and his brother, George. A celebration of Bill Morgan's life will be held at the Eventide Funeral Chapel, Red Deer, on Tuesday, August 22, 2000 at 1:00 P.M. with Leanne V. Hall officiating. Cremation.
