Holden, all of Liberty; David Holden of Central, and Charles Holden and Ray Holden, both of the home in Central; nine daughters, Mrs. Della Chappell and Mrs. Willie Grace Miller, both of Liberty, Mrs. Stella Ross, Mrs. Julia Ann Ross, and Mrs. Lillie Gillespie, all of Central; Mrs. Geneva George and Mrs. Nell George, both of Greenville; and Miss Dorothy Holden and Miss Linda Holden, both of the home in Central; three brothers, Ben Holden Liberty, and Eugene Holden and Sloan Holden, both of Easley; and five sisters, Mrs. Airy Heard of Greer, Mrs. Mary Bates and Mrs. Inez Lowe, both of Easley, Mrs. Ernest Bagwell of Pickens, and Mrs. Flora Powell of Central. (No grandchildren were mentioned in the obit). Funeral services: Sunday, March 27, 1960, Golden Creek Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. A.C. Harrison, Rev. John Turner, Rev. Garland Sentell, and Rev. J.D. Hendricks. Burial: Gantt Memorial Park As was still the custom of the day, his remains were returned to the family home for visitation until the time of the funeral. This was to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Della Chappell.
