William H Moore passed into the embrace of the long sleep at his home in Duncan Chapel neighborhood Monday, July 6. He was born in Delaware July 8, 1832. He came to Shelby county in 1854, when about 22 years old and has resided here continuously since. He had not been in good health for several years, and about two years ago suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he never fully recovered, and which for the most part confined him to his home. He was a good man, loved and respected by a host of friends. He is survived by a widow and five children, as follows: Levi R., Henry and James of this county, John, of Marshfield, Mo., and George, of Boseman, Mont. The widow is a sister of Uncle Thomas Coard of this city. The funeral will be held today, it having been delayed in order for George, who is coming from Montana, to reach here.
