| Description | : | According to news reports of the time, Joseph and Elizabeth McKay and their two children were returning to their home after a day in Forest at the fair. This was on Wednesday the 9th of October 1901 at 6:30 pm. As they were crossing the railway tracks on Main Street, their buggy was struck by a train. Their youngest child William Harold died almost immediately. Elizabeth died the next morning and Albert Irvin died in the afternoon of October 10th.
