"Sonny" Ravenscroft was born Oct 20, 1915, the son of Henry J and Sarah E Phelps Ravenscroft. He spent his entire life in Wyoming. Married to Maxine Purdy in 1948, he was the father of one daughter, Cathy Jo. He was a member of the Methodist church, a World War II veteran and a member of the volunteer fire company in Wyoming. Other survivors include his father, three sisters, Mrs. Floyd Horton of Onslow, Mrs. Evan Maloney of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. James Smith of Texas, two half-sisters, Mrs. Matt O'Brien of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Jessie Phelps of Wilton Junction.
