Description	:	"Father" William married Jane Arabelle McCormack (2/25/1848-10/6/1925) on Sept. 17, 1867 at Sabula, Jackson Co., Iowa. He was a Civil War Vet serving in the Iowa infantry. He also was a member of the masons in Craig. He farmed the land in section 30 until 1915. THeir children: 1. Walter Eugene (1868 - ) married Anna Titus on June 24, 1889. They moved to Boise, Idaho. 2. John J. (9/6/1871 - 4/21/1909) Living in Craig in 1900. 3. Lillie 'Lil' M. married Hargadine, lived in Omaha 4. (6/27/1888 - 6/17/1949) studied at Boyle's Business School, Omaha, was in the U. S. Navy 1909 - 1913. He was a Craig rural mail carrier, 1914 - 1920. Married 1st Mary Etta Smith, daughter of Walter D. Smith on Nov. 21, 1915. She died Dec. 15, 1918 in the Spanish flu pandemic. He married 2nd, Rosa Longwell, daughter of Art Longwell of Alder Grove on Nov. 26, 1919. C.a. 1921 to 1925 they lived in Scottsbluff, then returned to Craig. They ran a general store in Craig from 1926 to 1933. In March, 1930 the store had a fire that did some damage. They moved to Herman and to Oregon c. a. 1936. Eventually they lived in Fontana, Cal. At his death he had his own business. His 1st wife is buried in the Craig cemetery, Ben died in 1949 and is buried in Craig.
