August 19, 1924, a ged 46 years, 5 months and 11 days. He spent the early part of his life in Cedar county but moved to South Dakota about 15 years ago and had for the last seven years been an employee of the C.H. Atkin son Paving Co., of Watertown, S.D. Read More	Tipton Conservative 9-3-1924, - William Harrison Lovell, son of Wiliam and Jane Lovell, was born March 6, 1878, west of Tipton in Cedar county, Iowa and died at Princeton, Mo. August 19, 1924, a ged 46 years, 5 months and 11 days. He spent the early part of his life in Cedar county but moved to South Dakota about 15 years ago and had for the last seven years been an employee of the C.H. Atkin son Paving Co., of Watertown, S.D. In the year 1900, Mr. Lovell was united in marriage to Lurinda Merrill of Tipton. To this union were born two children: Oscar, age 16 and Margaret, age 9, both of wh om survive him. The son Oscar was with him at the time of his death. Mr. Lovell is survived also by 3 brothers, Otis of Mechanicsville and George and James of Tipton and one sister, Mrs. Alice Hoy o f Mechanicsville and a number of other relatives and friends. His mother, Mrs. Jane Lovell was laid away in her final rest just 2 weeks previous to his death. Mr. Lovell's death was due to being struc k by an automobile about 8 p.m. on August 18 while coming from work. Regardless of the prayers or ministrations of friends, relatives, doctors and nurses, the hand of the death angel could not be stay ed and at 10:25 the next morning he crossed o'er the bar to join his Mother who had so recently gone before. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church in Princeton on Wednesday night and agai n at Mt. Zion near Tipton in Cedar county where the remains were laid beside those of this father and mother. Mr. Lovell was dearly loved by all of his fellow workmen and his employers and he will b e truly missed by them. He always had a good word and a smile for everyone and was always ready to help anyone in need. Our final tribute to him would be that he died with the sweat of honest toil upon his brow - a fellow worker. -------------------------
