He was married in Ohio in 1844 (certificate reads 1842 ma) and together with his wife removed to Indiana in 1845, locating in Jefferson township, Whitley County. He at one time owned the land where the village of Laud is located. He was married in Ohio in 1844 (certificate reads 1842 ma) and together with his wife removed to Indiana in 1845, locating in Jefferson township, Whitley County. He at one time owned the land where the village of Laud is located. He leaves an aged companion and four children; Mrs. Jacob Ihrig, Mrs. Jessie Bridge, Miss Harriett Bell and Lindly Bell, Esq., of Fort Wayne. Hos funeral took place on Sunday, March 21. His remains were interred in Evergreen Bethel Cemetery, The deceased was one of the most highly esteemed men of the county and was the best posted man upon general history and current topics that we have ever met. He was a thoughly honest and upright gentleman. It can be truthfully said of him that none knew him but ato esteem him. Married Sarah A. M. on 11 Jan 1842 in Bellville, Richland, Ohio in 1844.
