Description	:	WILLIAM HENRY (BILL) LAQUA, born on June 6, 1926 in Warner, passed away on May 19, 2012 at the age of 85 years, while on vacation in Fairmont, BC. He is beloved husband to Louise, and father to Joanne, Thomas (Barbara), Lorna, Gordon (Helen) and Mark, grandfather to Andrew, Brittany, Nathan, Chelsea, Kristen, Megan and Sean, Leigh and Daniel . He is also survived by his sister Joyce, brother Robert (Lillian) and sister-in-law Lylla. Bill was predeceased by his parents William B. and Mildred and his brother Charles. Bill followed the Laqua family tradition as a farmer and a carpenter. He enjoyed playing and watching baseball, curling and golf. He loved camping and the outdoors. In retirement he enjoyed hobbies of stained glass and woodworking. Above all he loved being with his family. Even though he was affected by Parkinson disease in his later years, he was able to stay at home with the support of his wife and family. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 to 11:00 am, prior to the service. Interment at Archmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Parkinson Society of Southern Alberta, 1254-3 Ave. S., Lethbridge, AB, T1J 0J9.
