Description	:	Highland Recorder June 18, 1943 WELL KNOWN CITIZEN DEAD William Henry (Billy) Lockridge, forty-five, well known citizen of the lower Bull Pasture river community, died Friday morning June 11, the result of a gun shot wound. His health had not been very good recently. Mr Lockridge was a son of the late W.P.B. Lockridge and Hannah Huffer Lockridge. In 1922 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Mae Terry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Terry, (the three sisters having been married to the three Lockridge brothers). His health had not been very good recently. Mr Lockridge was a son of the late W.P.B. Lockridge and Hannah Huffer Lockridge. In 1922 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Mae Terry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Terry, (the three sisters having been married to the three Lockridge brothers). They had lived in the old Lockridge homestead until recently when they sold and bought another farm on the Burnsville road. He was a quiet, but industrious farmer and cattleman, and was highly respected by everyone. In World War I, he was in first class, the Armistice being signed before he was called. Funeral services were conducted at Lockridge Memorial church, near Clover Creek Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, by the Rev. Price Moore. Internment took place in the Lockridge family cemetery. The deceased is survived by his widow, three children, Kermit Dale, Harper Nelson and Martha Jane; two brothers and four sisters: Emory Lockridge, at home; Lucius Lockridge, Lone Fountain; Mrs C.H. Graham, Clover Creek; Mrs Summers Middleton, Staunton; Mrs John Curry, Clover Creek, and other relatives. Married January 18, 1922
