Description	:	William H. Francis of Lincroft died last Thursday night. Two winters ago he was taken sick with kidney trouble and he never fully regained his health. He underwent an operation at the Long Branch hospital about a year ago. Mr. Francis was 68 years old and was born in Atlantic township. he was a son of the late Richard Francis and he spent the early part of his life at Holmdel. Francis of Lincroft died last Thursday night. Two winters ago he was taken sick with kidney trouble and he never fully regained his health. He underwent an operation at the Long Branch hospital about a year ago. Mr. Francis was 68 years old and was born in Atlantic township. he was a son of the late Richard Francis and he spent the early part of his life at Holmdel. He had been engaged in the livery business for many years and he had a great reputation as a horseman. In partnership with Charles McCue he conducted livery stables at Seabright and Asbury Park. Later he opened a liver stable at Atlantic Highlands with the late D. Lane Conover as his partner. The past few years Mr. Francis had lived with his brother, Edward Francis of Lincroft. Besides this brother he leaves two brothers and a sister. They are Theodore Francis of Atlantic Highlands, Charles Francis of Long Branch and Mrs. Charles Lufburrow of Navesink. the funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the house and was conducted by Rev. T. E. Vassar, pastor of the Holmdel Baptist church. The body was buried in Fair View cemetery. Red Bank Register, Wed., May 27, 1908
