Description	:	Thanks to contributor #46814593; 28 Aug 1974 , Callaway Courier Newspaper William Henry Harrison Gray, the son of Charles Gray and Phoebe Bogan, was born in Callaway, Ne., on Jan. 9, 1889 and died on Aug 19, 1974 at the Good Samaritian Center in Callaway, Ne. He made his home there for the past 3 1/2 years. On July 3, 1913, in Kearney, Ne., he married Iva Leota Chadd. They lived in the Callaway community for 2 years, then moved to Arnold, where they made their home before moving to Elm Valley, where they lived until 1939.... Read More	Thanks to contributor #46814593; 28 Aug 1974 , Callaway Courier Newspaper William Henry Harrison Gray, the son of Charles Gray and Phoebe Bogan, was born in Callaway, Ne., on Jan. 9, 1889 and died on Aug 19, 1974 at the Good Samaritian Center in Callaway, Ne. He made his home there for the past 3 1/2 years. On July 3, 1913, in Kearney, Ne., he married Iva Leota Chadd. They lived in the Callaway community for 2 years, then moved to Arnold, where they made their home before moving to Elm Valley, where they lived until 1939. They moved to Callaway and were in business for several years before retiring in the early 1960's. In 1963 Harrison and Iva celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with their family and friends. Harrison had always taken pride in his farming and raised fine horses. In his retirement years, his grandchildren and their little ones were his pride. He was always so pleased when they came to visit. Preceding him in death were his wife, parents, 6 brothers, 7 sisters and 2 grandsons. Survivors include 2 sons, Gerald K. Gray and his wife Elsie of Arnold and Harold F. Gray and his wife Mary Alice of Lexington, one daughter, Wanda and her husband Harlen Weatherly now of Clinton, Arkansas. 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, one brother, Luther Gray of the Veteran's Home in Norfolk, Ne., other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Gray were held on Thursday, August 22, 1974 at the United Methodist Church in Callaway. Music was provided by Robert and Charles Myers, Mrs. Ralph Morrison, organist. Pallbearers were Roger Gray, Ron Gray, Roger Statler, Dean Weatherly, Freddie Leibhart and David DeLong. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Callaway, Ne., with the Timm Reynolds Love Funeral Home in charge.
