Horton was held at the Methodist church last Saturday forenoon at 10:30. Rev. Hicks had charge of the service, and the Masonic order put on the regular funeral work of the lodge. Burial was made at Carrollton cemetery. William Henry Horton was born in Clearville, Penn., Oct. 28, 1855, and passed to his eternal home on March 28, 1923, 67 years and 7 months. He was the fourth child of Captain Oliver and Louisa Horton. At the age of 10 years he with his parents moved to Bellville, Iowa. They lived there till the spring of 1869 when they moved to Carroll county, locating on a farm south of Glidden, and from there they moved to Glidden.
