Read More	Largely Attended Funeral Services Held For William Henry Riggin Funeral services, largely attended by those who had come to pay final tribute to one near and dear to their hearts, were held for William Henry Riggin who passed away Sunday, on Tuesday afternoon of this week at 2:00 o'clock. Many floral designs were banked around the casket as the Rev. Robert H. Wilson, pastor of the Mariner's Church, and Rev. C.M. Elderdice, pastor of the Mount Pleasant Church, spoke final words of tribute over the departed loved one. Services, during which Mr. Horace Evans rendered a beautiful solo, were held from the Mariner's Church. Pall-bearers were William H. Pruitt, Ernest Hickman, Lon Sterling, Henry Bedsworth, Edward Morgan and William Cullen. Interment was in the Mariner's churchyard. Mr. Riggin, who was an esteemed resident of this city, passed away at 12:10 a. m. Sunday at the McCready Memorial Hospital, after an illness of about two weeks. He had been at the hospital for two days. The son of the late James Riggin and Virginia Laird Riggin, the deceased was sixty-nine years of age at his death. He was born in this city, where he spent virtually his entire life. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Hickman Riggin; a son, Preston Riggin, of this city; three step-children, Mrs. Clyde Covington, of Crisfield, Mrs. Margaret Hickman, of Salisbury and Mr. Paul Hickman, of this city; and two sisters, Mrs. Iona Cox and Mrs. Amy Johnson, both of this city.
