Mr. Hilson had not been well all winter and took seriously ill a week before his death. He was born in Milton, Ontario, on December 22nd, 1857, and came to the Manitoulin in 1865 where he had resided up till his death. He was born in Milton, Ontario, on December 22nd, 1857, and came to the Manitoulin in 1865 where he had resided up till his death. Pallbearers were: Wm. McCauley, Dodds McCauley and Bert McCauley his cousins, a brother-in-law John McCauley, Mr. Lorne Caughell and Fred Martell of town. Mr. Hilson leaves to mourn their loss his two sisters, Mrs. John Penny and Mrs. Jane McCauley of Tehkummah and one brother, Mr. Robt. Hilson of town. Out-of-town visitors were: Mrs. and Mrs. Milton McConkey of South Bay Mouth; Mr. and Mrs. Dodds McCauley of The Slash; Miss Dean McCauley, Mrs. Norman Brian and Mr. Bert McCauley of The Slash; Mr. and Mrs. John Penny and Mrs. Jane McCauley of Tehkummah.
