Bill, a WWII U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, graduated from the University of Washington in 1947 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. He opened Hall's Pharmacy with his brother, Wally, in 1952. For the next 29 years, they owned and operated the business. Bill continued working as a pharmacist until his retirement, ending up with a total of 40 years in his profession. Bill, a WWII U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, graduated from the University of Washington in 1947 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. He opened Hall's Pharmacy with his brother, Wally, in 1952. For the next 29 years, they owned and operated the business. Bill continued working as a pharmacist until his retirement, ending up with a total of 40 years in his profession. Bill enjoyed woodworking, band music, yard work, traveling, boating, his friends, neighbors, and customers. He was a member of the U.S. Power and Sail Squadron for 42 years, earning the grade of Advanced Pilot. He also was past Commander of the Fort Vancouver Power Squadron, past President of the Southwest Washington Pharmacist Association, and past Board Member of the Washington State Pharmacist's Association. Bill is survived by his wife, Alice Hall, whom he married in 1955; children, Don Hall (Margaret) of Jacksonville, FL, and Karla Frodsham (Lance) of Vancouver, WA; and grandchildren, Lael Johnston and William Hall of Jacksonville, FL, and Emily, Allison, and Laurel Frodsham of Vancouver, WA. Bill's brother, Wally, preceded him in death. A memorial service will take place at First United Methodist Church, 33rd and Main, Vancouver, WA, on Sat., Sept. 16, 2006, 1:00pm. Donations may be made, in Bill's name, to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or to the Educational Fund of Fort Vancouver Power Squadron, c/o Paula Zellers, 2713 NW 117th Circle, Vancouver, WA 98685.
