Description	:	Son of William and Martha (Welch) Hunt. The following has been contributed by Find a Grave member Greg Wood: William Hunt, son of William and Martha Hunt, was born in Reigelsville, Warren County, New Jersey on Dec. 2 1851, and here he grew to manhood. He came to Nebraska in 1875 and settled on a timber claim three miles west of Exeter, Nebraska where he made his home for eleven years. On April 5, 1881, he married Sarah Jane Songster and they live on his timber claim for seven years where William, Maude, Sophia and Laura were born.... The following has been contributed by Find a Grave member Greg Wood: William Hunt, son of William and Martha Hunt, was born in Reigelsville, Warren County, New Jersey on Dec. 2 1851, and here he grew to manhood. He came to Nebraska in 1875 and settled on a timber claim three miles west of Exeter, Nebraska where he made his home for eleven years. In 1887 they moved to Wright , Kansas, In Kansas Priscilla, Nell Jane Blanche, John Bernard, Edith and Ida, were born. In 1899 they returned to Nebraska by covered wagon to the timber claim west of Exeter where the family has lived ever since. Here Dennis and Winifred were born. Western life and methods never appealed very strongly to Mr. Hunt and the call of the old home state and the associations of his youth was strong, so he returned to New Jersey several years ago on a visit which was prolonged until he passed away there at Yorktown, January 22, 1925. The family has his body shipped back to Nebraska and his funeral serves were conducted by the Rev. A.E. Bashford at the Congregational church and interment was made in the Exeter, Nebraska cemetery.
