Description	:	Capt. Wm. Lewis Dead Capt. Wm. Lewis, one of the oldest residents of Crisfield, died at the home of his son, Capt. Wm. Lewis, Jr., on Chesapeake Ave., Monday of last week. Capt. Lewis had been in failing health for a number of months and his death was not unexpected. In his early manhood, Capt. Lewis, one of the oldest residents of Crisfield, died at the home of his son, Capt. Wm. Lewis, Jr., on Chesapeake Ave., Monday of last week. Capt. Lewis had been in failing health for a number of months and his death was not unexpected. In his early manhood, Capt. "Bill," followed the water, and was one of the best known Bay Captains on the Chesapeake. When the war broke out and the Union called for volunteers, Capt. Lewis laid down his implements of livelihood and went to fight for his country. He was a member of the Federal Army. Capt. Lewis was a widower and is survived by three children, who are: Mrs. Wallace Evans, Mrs. Wm. Riggin, and Capt. Wm. Lewis, all of Crisfield. Funeral services were held at his late home on Wednesday conducted by Rev. H. G. Budd. Interment was made in the Crisfield cemetery. Capt.
