He was active in Little League baseball and was a winning coach.Survivors include one son, William A. Smith, Dallas; one daughter, Lorienne Smith Mathews, Weston, Mo.; siblings John P. Smith, Francis J. Smith and Catherine Boyda, all of Marysville; friend Buena Ellenbecker; and six grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Smith; daughter, Joann Kay; his parents; sisters, Barbara Smith; Marie Smith Borgerding, Martha Smith and Helena Smith Armbrecht; brothers Jacob Smith and Tony Smith; and his second wife, Ruth Danekas Smith.
