Description	:	Francis J. Smith, 90, of Marysville, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Frankfort Community Care Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, April 28 at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville. Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Thursday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Francis was born to William and Helena (Ring) Smith at Marysville on July 20, 1925. He graduated from Marysville High School. On November 25, 1948, Francis was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Ferguson at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. They lived at the Smith family home place, where he lived his entire life, and was a dairy farmer. He was a lifelong farmer and owned the Blue Rapids Hatchery. Francis was a member of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Mary Catherine Hildebrandt; three brothers and six sisters. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Elizabeth; sons, Richard (Pam) Smith, Fred (Carlene) Smith, both of Marysville, Ed (Kim) Smith, Derby, Jim (Cheryl) Smith, Augusta; daughters, Joyce (Terry) Koch, Marysville, Connie (Leo) Stallbaumer, Janet (Robert) Christener, both of Frankfort; twenty-one grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of Kinsley Mortuary. ------------ From brother William J.'s bio: siblings John P.
