Read More	The Fairfield Auxiliary (Fairfield, NE), Thursday, May 21, 1936; pg. 1 William Parker Passed Away Pioneer of Fairfield Dies At His Home Tuesday Morning; Funeral Thursday William James Parker, pioneer resident of Fairfield, passed away at his home, May 19, 1936. He was the son of Mary Anne (sic) Parker and was born in Toronto, Canada, May 19, 1859. At six months of age they moved to St. Louis and later to St. Joseph, Mo. In 1874, he came with his patents to Clay county (sic), where they homesteaded 2 1/2 miles east of Fairfield. On Sept. 11, 1899, he was united in marriage to Myrtle Hamier and to this union were born two daughters. In 1900, he moved to Fairfield he resided until his death. He was a kind and loving husband and father. Surviving him are his wife and daughters, Mrs. Virtus Palmer of Fairfield, and Mrs. Maurice Hill of Beatrice and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home, Thursday, at 2 p.m., Rev. Sauer officiating. Interment at the Fairfield cemetery (sic).
