Description	:	William J. “Willie” Erianne, 93, of Upper Deerfield Twp., passed away peacefully on Saturday morning July 23, 2016 at Eagleview Nursing Home in Pittsgrove Twp. He was the husband of Dorla A. Erianne (nee Harshbarger). Born in Seabrook, he was the son of late Joseph and Rose Erianne (nee Ritondo). He was the husband of Dorla A. Erianne (nee Harshbarger). Born in Seabrook, he was the son of late Joseph and Rose Erianne (nee Ritondo). Following high school, Mr. Erianne served in the US Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge at the conclusion of the war, he began a 35 year career working for Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton where he worked in the mold making department as a polisher. With the closing of the plant, he took a position in security for the Upper Deerfield Township government building where he worked for an additional 23 years. Mr. Erianne loved sports. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan and well as a dedicated Bridgeton sports fan. He spent many of his evenings at the Bridgeton Hall of Fame socializing and sharing stories. He was an avid bowler and golfer and he coached the North Cumberland Little League girls’ softball for several years. Mr. Erianne was a dedicated member of the Meade Woodward VFW Post #1795 in Bridgeton and the Bridgeton chapter of the Catholic War Veterans. He was also a member of the 5th Ward Club and the Italian American Club. Mr. Erianne was a devoted member of the Parish of the Holy Cross and enjoyed volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Society Good Shepherd Dining Hall. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Joan C. Rose of Pittsgrove, granddaughter, Jacy F. Rose, one sister, Adeline Ayars of Lakewood and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, John C. Erianne in 2013 and siblings, Joseph Erianne, Frank Erianne, Pat Erianne, Sol Erianne, Charles Erianne, Teresa Picorno, Natalie Scythes and Philomena Tweed. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday morning July 28, 2016 at 10 o’clock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce Street in Bridgeton. The interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday morning between 9 and 10. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Good Shepherd Dining Hall, 46 Central Avenue, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
