Description	:	William Keese Flower was born in Illinois April 8th, 1863, and departed this life in Nelson, June 6th, 1948. He was 85 years, 1 month and 28 days old. He came west with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Flower and three brothers, settling first in Iowa and later near the present site of Steele City, Nebraska. To them nine children were... Read More	William Keese Flower was born in Illinois April 8th, 1863, and departed this life in Nelson, June 6th, 1948. He was 85 years, 1 month and 28 days old. He came west with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Flower and three brothers, settling first in Iowa and later near the present site of Steele City, Nebraska. He spent most of his life working for the railroad, coming to Nelson as Section-Foreman in 1917, where he has resided since that time. In 1890, he was married to Miss Mary Dyer at Harbine, Nebr. To them nine children were born, seven of whom died in childhood. His wife passed away in November, 1926. He is survived by his two sons, Claude and Alfred; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.W. Kennedy at the Klawitter Funeral Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Vivian Cole, Helen Peery, Dorothy Littrell and Verna Peery sang "The Shepherd's Psalm" and "Abid With Me." Mrs. H.A. Brubaker was their accompanist. Burial was made in the Nelson cemetery. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, June 10, 1948
