Mr. Kolash, the son of Sebesta and Mary Yedlichka Kolash, was born May 11, 1888 on a farm west of Chelsea, and has spent his life around this community. Mr. Kolash, the son of Sebesta and Mary Yedlichka Kolash, was born May 11, 1888 on a farm west of Chelsea, and has spent his life around this community. After the death of his wife, the former Agnes Dvorak, he continued to live on the farm with his son Richard until his health began to fail several years ago, after which time he made his home with his daughter Mrs. Rudy Podhajsky at Traer. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 18, 1967 at 2 p.m. from the Hrabak Funeral Home, Chelsea. Officiating was the Rev. Alvin K .Boettcher, pastor of the First Congregational Church, Belle Plaine. Mrs. John Kaloupek was organist. In charge of flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kalinay. Pallbearers were Fred Sedlacek, Frank Kaufman, Bernard Upah, Albert Kaufman, Edwin Behounek, and George Melsa. Burial was in National Cemetery at Vining. Surviving are his son, Richard Chelsea; a daughter, Mrs. Rudy Podhajsky, Traer; a brother, Frank Kolash, Toledo; and a sister, Mrs. Julia Pitka, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister, Mrs. Frank Siedel and a brother, James. Contributor: George (48419540)
