Description	:	William Langerock, son of Cornelious and Mary Langerock was born Oct. 27, 1881 on a farm at Maurice, IA, and having assured his family that he was ready to meet his savior, he went to his heavenly reward on the 28the day of June, 1959, after reaching the age of 77 years, 8 months and 1 day. Read More	William Langerock, son of Cornelious and Mary Langerock was born Oct. 27, 1881 on a farm at Maurice, IA, and having assured his family that he was ready to meet his savior, he went to his heavenly reward on the 28the day of June, 1959, after reaching the age of 77 years, 8 months and 1 day. While still very young his mother preceded him in death, and he found his youthful life without the blessing of a mother. He lost his earthly father at the age of 22 years. On Jan. 7, 1904 he was united in marriage to Mae Vander Wel, and as a young man and his bride moved to Lakota, ND where they farmed for 4 years, and then moved to the vicinity of Monroe, which was there home until the time of their death; and where all of their 10 children grew up with them. Soon after moving to Monroe, transferred their church membership to the Sandham Memorial Reformed Church of Monroe, where he remained a constant and faithful member. He was a prosperous and ambitious farmer and father, and while the two shared many hardships of life, he was always a good provider, and together they enjoyed the many blessings of true companionship. In December, 1946, they left the farm to make their home in the City of Monroe. The home was saddened on Feb. 12, 1952, when Mrs. Langerock ws called to her heavenly reward. However, Mr. Langerock retained his home in Monroe, and with the aid of a house keeper, Mrs. Bessie Johns he maintained a home where the children were always welcome. He always enjoyed the great blessing of good health until in January, 1958, he of necessity submitted to an operation. Again in January, 1959 he suffered an attack of pleurisy, and while it appeared that he was completely recovered for a time, on Jun. 24, 1959, he entered the Canton-Inwood Hospital at Canton. Whereas he appeared to be recovering he passed away rather unexpectedly on Sunday evening, June 28, 1959. In passing Mr. Langerock leaves to mourn his ten children, Cornie of Clear Lake, SD, Bert, Frances, Harold and Glen of Marion; Earl of El Monte, CA; Marretta (Mrs. Ray Friese) of Parker; Esther (Mrs. John Weeldreyer) Margaret (Mrs. Art Nugteren) and Lois (Mrs. William Deelstra), all of Monroe. All their husbands and wives, 32 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, his step mother, 1 brother of Parker, SD. A half brother in Iowa, and 2 half sisters in Iowa.
