Description	:	Veteran marker. Bill and Velma Bourne eloped from Ames, Iowa to Albert Lee, MInnesota where they were married on May 26, 1932. They lived for one year near Hollendale, Minnesota where he worked on a dairy farm. In the spring of 1933 they hopped a freight train and rode to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Bill found work as a cowboy on ranches in the Tri-State area and Velma worked as a housekeeper and cook for the ranchers where they worked.
