Hesson, 76, Newton area resident since 1902, died at his home here Tuesday evening. He has been in poor health for a number of years. Mr. Hesson moved to Jasper County in 1902 where he lived on a farm northwest of Newton. He lived there until 1949 when he moved into the city. He was married December 26, 1906 at Newton to Effie Iske. He was born to Edward and Agnes Hesson in Muscatine county, October 5, 1883. After moving into Newton, he was employed by the Newton Daily News as a motor route carrier in the Lynville, sully, Reasnor, and Killduff areas until a few years ago. He is survived by his wife; a son, Don, of Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) Livengood of Newton; two brothers, Glenn and E.E. Hesson of Newton; a sister Mrs. S.C. Hughes of Newton, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a son, Wayne.
