Description	:	INWOOD, W.Va. - William P. Williams, 77, of Inwood, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Care Haven of Berkeley. Born Sept. 7, 1921, in Madison, N.C., he was the son of the late John L. and Hattie Shreves Williams. He was a retired bus driver for Continental Trailways. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church. Born Sept. 7, 1921, in Madison, N.C., he was the son of the late John L. and Hattie Shreves Williams. He was a retired bus driver for Continental Trailways. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Baker Williams; a daughter, Elaine Shamel of Raleigh, N.C.; three sons, John R. Williams of Hedgesville, W.Va., Sterling C. Williams of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Gregg Williams of Salinas, Calif.; a sister, Elsie Shelton of Salisbury, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sterling Williams. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. James Bishop will officiate. Entombment will be in Maranatha Memorial Gardens with military services by Newton D. Baker Post 896, VFW and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Maranatha Memorial Gardens, Route 2, Box 143, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
