Shawnee-st, was killed instantly Tuesday afternoon when the truck he was driving was struck by a fast Pennsylvania passenger train at the Baxter-st crossing. Cramer, a veteran driver for the Shook-Mosier Laundry Co., had been on the same route for several years. He had been employed by the company for the past 40 years. According to police reports, the truck was traveling north on Baxter-st at 2:55 p.m. when the first section of the eastbound Manhattan Limited struck and demolished it. Cramer's body was thrown clear of the truck which was dragged 30 feet east of the crossing, police said. Surviving Cramer who was born in a log cabin near Beaverdam and a member of the Congregational Christian church, are his widow, Mabel, a daughter, Mrs. Orrin S. Welty, 406 Orena-av, and two grandchildren, Orrin Jay Welty, in the armed services and Mrs. Norma Jay Sykes, San Diego, Cal. The body will remain at the Davis, Miller and Son funeral home for services in the cathedral chapel at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
