Ebeling, secretary-treasurer of the Notes Publishing and Printing Company, were held in the First Presbyterian Church, of which he was long a member, on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. There was a large attendance of relatives, neighbors and friends. Members of Canon Lodge, No. 204, Knights of Pythias, of which Mr. Ebeling was a member, attended in a body as did also the employees of The Notes Publishing and Printing Company. George Doyle and Rea Fetherlin, represented Typographical Union No. 456 of Washington, Mr. Ebeling having been a member of that organization for more than 15 years. Owing to the face that the Rev. G.G. Kerr, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church is under quarantine regulations, the services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. William P. Aikin, the pastor of the Chartiers United Presbyterian Church. Doctor Aikin spoke highly of Mr. Ebeling as a man who was devoted to his family, and the church. He was also a man who occupied an important place in the business life of the community. He was a good citizen. Dr. Aikin said he was requested by Rev. G.G.Kerr, Mr. Ebeling's pastor, to say that Mr. Ebeling was an active and interested member of the Church; while a member of other organizations in addition to the church, he always gave the church the first place. Dr. Aikin spoke comforting words to the friends. He said there are not only blessed who die in the Lord, but in the other and better world we shall not be mere ghosts, flitting here and there, but we shall retain our personalities, and we shall have bodies (not flesh and blood bodies) but spiritual bodies. We shall meet and greet and hold communion with our friends. A male quartet composed of Meesrs. C.A. Price, James Munnell, J. Nevin Couter and William Boone, with Miss Kathryn Munnell as accompanist at the organ, sang feelingly: "Abide With Me," "The Lord is Thy Shepherd," and "Lead Kindly Light." A great wealth of floral emblems, many of them of most beautiful designs, surrounded the casket. The pallbearers were: Active-Howard L Cummins, J.W. McConnell, Clyde Carlton, William Potts, W.H. Neill, Charles G. Schade. Honorary-F.W. McVay, D.H. Fee, Dr. Cl. L. Harsha, Geo. D. McNutt, John T. McNary, C.K. Boyer. The burial was made in the beautiful Oak Spring Cemetery.
