Description	:	William F. Snyder was born in Miflin county, Pennsylvania, in 1836, and died at Sabetha, Kansas, Friday, May 12, 1905. The funeral services were held in the Congregational church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. L. Fisk, assisted by Rev. F. J. Seaman He was buried in the family lot in the cemetery at Albany. Mr. Snyder went to Illinois when quite young and in 1861 enlisted in Co. D. 92nd Illinois, for three years. Mr. Snyder went to Illinois when quite young and in 1861 enlisted in Co. D. 92nd Illinois, for three years. In 1874 they moved to Nebraska, and four years later came to the old home on Rock Creek where they lived until four years ago, when they moved to Sabetha. In 1868 Mr. Snyder joined the United Brethren church, in which fellowship he held a letter at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, two sisters, two brothers, two sons and two daughters. He was an upright Christian man, and no brighter tribute could be paid to his sterling worth, than the silent testimony given by the presence of the great number of neighbors and G.A.R. comrades, who came last Sunday afternoon to pay their last respects to the dead.
