Source annotation says "Lost in Civil War" Samuel Sterling "Sam" Edmonson 1836-1882. (Memorial ID 41162899) William Sterling Edmonson and his sons Martin Luther Edmonson and Samuel Sterling Edmonson arrived in Boone County, AR in the mid 1800's. It also the the location of their graves. For us, Eunice Opal Edmonson Clark (1889-1979) and her sister Myrtle Pearl Edmonson (1900-1993) were the earliest known genealogists for the family of their Great Grandfather William Sterling Edmonson (1795-1864). Many of his descendants were early settlers of Boone County, AR which is where he is also buried. We can only imagine the amount of time and effort Eunice and Myrtle put into their work as all of it was done before computers and the internet.
