George, well known resident of Galesburg, dropped dead yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella Sanner, in Galesburg, where the deceased had been making his home. Mrs. Sanner found her father lying on the floor of the home at 11:50 yesterday morning as she came into the house. Indications show that he had been dead only a few moments. Deceased had been ill health for the past several years and has been spending a part of this time with relatives in South Dakota. W.S. George was born near Pella, April 17, 1867, and died at his home of a heart attack on Sept. 7, 1927. He was one of a family of eight children born to James W. and Ella Prosser George. His four sisters survive, Mrs. Lulu Postma, of Clark, S. Dak., Mrs. Clara Gilland, Davenport; Mrs. Ida Wood and Mrs. Ola Finn of Monroe. He is also survived by his father, James W. George of Oskaloosa, his mother having died many years ago. He was married to Sietska Terpstra on March 5, 1890, who preceded him in death Sept. 16, 1926. To this union seven children were born, Mrs. Ella Sanner and Rosanna George of Galesburg; Ray of Lavina, Mont.; Leroy, Edward, James and Albert, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held in the Galesburg Methodist Church, Rev. A.D.
