Description	:	William Turner Mitchell was born in Moulton, Iowa 27 January 1863, and passed away at his home in Marquette, Kansas 14 January 1941, having attained the age of 77 years 11 months, 17 days. In early manhood he came to Langley Kansas, where on 07 October 1888 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida May Anderson. To this union were born seven children, Alice, Inez, Helen, Laura, John, George and Lucy who along with wife and mother Ida May preceded him in death. Read More	William Turner Mitchell was born in Moulton, Iowa 27 January 1863, and passed away at his home in Marquette, Kansas 14 January 1941, having attained the age of 77 years 11 months, 17 days. In early manhood he came to Langley Kansas, where on 07 October 1888 he was united in marriage to Miss Ida May Anderson. To this union were born seven children, Alice, Inez, Helen, Laura, John, George and Lucy who along with wife and mother Ida May preceded him in death. In 1920 he joined the Methodist Church at Langley and in 1937 he transferred his membership to the Methodist Church in Marquette. On 08 august 1931 he was united in marriage to Mrs Alice Erickson who was his devoted helpmate and loving companion until deaths separation came. He was a good man, a fine citizen, a loving and affectionate husband, a kind and considerate father,a good neighbor and a worthy friend. He leaves to mourn his loss his widow; five step-children; six of his own children; Mrs. Alice Harris and Mrs. Inez Schriner of Marquette; Mrs. Helen Williams, John and George Mitchell of Langley and Mrs. Laura Westman of Lindsborg; 35 grand children; 13 great grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors who too, will greatly miss him. Funeral services were conducted from the Marquette Methodist churchat 2:00 p.m. Wednesday 15 January, with pastor, Rev.J.C. Paschal, preaching the sermon from the text in Job 14:14 "if a man dies shall he live again?: Beautiful and appropriate music was sung by Misses Margaret Richards and Doris Nelson, also by Mrs. W.H. Thompson soloist, Miss Margaret Richards at the piano. Pallbearers were Paul Loder, Frank Handlin, Vade Hendershot, Victor Krig, Carl Berg and Dewey Horner. Burial at Langley cemetery with L.V.
