He passed away unexpectedly following a fatal heart attack at Hastings, Neb., July 16, 1969, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 24 days. Robinson, son of Clara and David Robinson, was born October 22, 1900, near Geneva, Neb. He passed away unexpectedly following a fatal heart attack at Hastings, Neb., July 16, 1969, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 24 days. He spent his early years on his parents’ farm, moving to Geneva in 1920. November 27, 1937, he was united in marriage to Verla Hall of Geneva. They resided in Geneva until June, 1965, at which time they moved to Hastings. He is survived by his wife Verla; and son, Brent at home, two daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Charlotte) Wilson of Hastings and Mrs. Donald (Sharon) Harms of Gibbon; his son-in-law, Phil and Don, and two granddaughters; two brothers, Roy of Hastings and Harry of Lincoln; and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Strayed of Hastings and Mrs. Alice Ashley of Akron, Col. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. He was a devoted husband and father with his family always foremost in his thoughts. He was unselfish and always had time for his family and many friends. His energetic and enthusiastic ways will leave a void for all who knew and loved him. Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist church of Hastings at 10 a. m. Saturday, July 19, and graveside services in Geneva. Rev. David Hansen officiated. William Kinder sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied by Mrs. Jack Hibbs. Pallbearers were Ernie Hansen, Robert Jezek, Duane Dudney, Don Anderson, Frank Emmons and Joseph Schmidbauer. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 24 July 1969 page 5.
