Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri, April 4, 1924 - Pg 1 William Walter Mallory Was born in Cannelton, Perry County, Ind., August 13, 1847 and passed away at his home in Edgar, Nebr., March 25, 1924, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 12 days. His parents died when he was a small boy. He entered the service of his country in 1863, when 16 years of age and enlisted in the U. S. Navy, serving on the gunboat "Springfield 22" until the close of the war. Shortly after his discharge from the service he went to Macon County, Ill., where he was united in marriage with Mary Elizabeth Atteberry on February 24, 1870. To this union three children were born: Mrs. Ed. Brooks, William Thomas Mallory and Mrs. August Milegar, all of whom reside at Edgar. In August, 1884, Mr. Mallory moved to Nebraska and located four miles south of town, where he followed the occupation of farming until 1905, when he moved into Edgar, where the remainder of his life was passed. Mr. Mallory professed his faith in Christ when fifteen years of age and united with the Baptist Church, holding his membership in the same to the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, son, daughters, 31 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He has a sister, 84 years of age residing in Los Angeles, Cal. Besides these a host of friends regret his departure. Funeral services were conducted from his late home in Edgar at two o'clock on Thursday afternoon, March 27, 1924, the minister of the Christian Church, Charles A.
