Description	:	Funeral services for Willie Elmore Lindler will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon from St. Thomas Lutheran Church at Chapin, conducted by the Rev. John D. Zeigler assisted by the Rev. A. Kenneth Hewitt. Interment will be in the churchyard. Active pallbearers will be Colie Lowman Jr., Herman Lindler, Blair Lindler, Newman Wessinger, Baker Mettz and Fred Cannon. Mr. Lindler, 74, of 1101 Florence St., died Wednesday night at the Baptist Hospital. He spent most of his life farming in and around Chapin. He was a son of the late Martin Luther Lindler and Mary Ella Wessinger Lindler. He had made his home in Columbia for 16 years. Mr. Lindler was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Chapin. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Wessinger Lindler; four daughters, Mrs. Rosabelle Koon of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. Marie Dozier of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Thelma Sites and Mrs. Violet Slice, both of Chapin; two sons, Harold Hugh Chapin and W. E. Lindler Jr. of Columbia a half-sister, Mrs. Ruth Lowman of Chapin; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 29 Aug 1958
