Willis was born February 13, 1922 in Harrison County, Iowa to John F. and Emma C. (Mumm) Gramkow. After graduating from high school Willis was married to Dagmar Shearer. Willis was born February 13, 1922 in Harrison County, Iowa to John F. and Emma C. (Mumm) Gramkow. After graduating from high school Willis was married to Dagmar Shearer. Willis was a farmer and had a trucking business, he later drove for several other local companies. In 1989 he married Ione Barnes. Survivors include his children; Sandra Lee O'Neill of Pocatello, Idaho; Willis Gramkow and his wife Patty of Yankton, South Dakota; Leesa Blount of Mesa, Arizona; sister; Lois Zacharias of Persia, Iowa; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Willis was preceded in death by his parents John and Emma, wife Ione, sister Alvira Jansen, brother Charles. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at St. John's Lutheran Church in Persia following the committal service.
