Description	:	WILLIS ELDER PARROTT Willis Elder Parrott, son of Jonathan and Caroline Parrott, was born in Dubuque county, Iowa, on Jan. 3, 1863, and departed this life at the home of his son, Elmer, near Douds at the age of 85 years, 28 days, on the farm where he had lived for many years. He had been in failing health for a long time. He lived for a while in Audubon county where he moved with his parents in 1876. Read More	WILLIS ELDER PARROTT Willis Elder Parrott, son of Jonathan and Caroline Parrott, was born in Dubuque county, Iowa, on Jan. 3, 1863, and departed this life at the home of his son, Elmer, near Douds at the age of 85 years, 28 days, on the farm where he had lived for many years. He had been in failing health for a long time. He lived for a while in Audubon county where he moved with his parents in 1876. He was married to Clara Idella Zion, Dec. 18, 1889, living in Audubon county until 1911 when he moved to Douds in Van Buren county, Iowa. He was converted to the Christian church in 1899 and joined the United Brthren church in Cameron township in 1909. He is the last of a family of 6, except one sister Carrie, at Atlantic, Iowa, who with his three sons, Elmer, Raymond and Lee of Douds survive him, also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
