Read More	Mr. Willis Eugene 'Cotton' Hinshaw, 81, of Monticello, Indiana, pass away at 7:47 in the evening on Thursday, July 17, 2014; he was at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis, Indiana Cotton was born on Wednesday, April 12, 1933 in White County, Indiana, to Willis and Nellie G. ( Medley ) Hinshaw. He was a 1951 graduate of the Monticello High School of Monticello, Indiana where he was a basketball player. On June 21, 1953 in the Monticello Christian Church parsonage he married Dorothy A. Cahill. She died September 11, 1999. He then married Fay Capper on September 2, 2000 at the Monticello Christian church. She survives Cotton is survived by his wife; his Twin sons,Roger (wife;Patsy) Hinshaw, and Richard (wife;Madel) Hinshaw; his Step-Children,Renee (husband;Kevin) Kilbanc, Jaci (husband; Randy) Lane, Jason (wife;Tara) Crowder, and Bradley Crowder; Seventeen (17) Grandchildren, and Fourteen (14) Great Grandchildren; Brothers, William "Dick" (wife;Lola) Hinshaw, Robert L. "Bob" Hinshaw. Preceded in Death by his Parents, his First Wife, Dorothy A Hinshaw. Cotton served in the United Stated Navy and he attended Butler University and then went to Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida, where he received his degree in Law Enforcement. Cotton had worked and retired with the Cocoa, Florida Police Department after 30 years of service. He was the President of the Police Benevolence Association in Cocoa, Florida and a member of the Monticello Christian Church of Monticello, Indiana. He had an annual fish fry for the Cocoa Florida Police Department for many years and hosted a country western event for many years as well. Cotton loved and enjoyed playing euchre. Since his retirement he spent his winters in Florida and summers in Monticello. He was a amazing cook and baker making a mean set of biscuits and gravy and the best chocolate chip cookies. *"Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 4 (KJV) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance"* Burial will take place at Hughes Cemetery with Full Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana.
