Description	:	Wilma Whisler Kreutzer, 88, of Ravenna, formerly of Elwood, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Ravenna Good Samaritan Center. She graduated from Holdrege High School in 1939. Wilma went on to attend Kearney Normal Training in pursuit of a teaching certificate, and eventually taught school for two years. On May 23, 1943, Wilma married Russell M. Whisler, and the couple made their home on a farm south of Elwood. They were blessed with four children: Allen, Judy, Joan and Alvin. Russell preceded her in death in June of 1983. She was a member of the Elwood Area Country Club. In later years, Wilma enjoyed dancing and bowling. Wilma was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell and Gustav; brothers: Donald Johnston and Robert Johnston; and sisters: Doris and Fern. Survivors are her children: Allen (Marcia) of Gilbert, AZ; Judy (Terry) Nelson of Waverly, IA; Joan Hyde of Deland, FL; Alvin (Patricia) of Kearney, NE; sisters: Elaine Norman of Holdrege and Mae (Carl) Johnston of Kearney; brother, James Johnston of Arizona; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
